springtime twelve patch

I have been quiltting all week again with my quilt group. I decided to finish one of my quilt tops. I made this three or four years ago.

I have had fun with this one. I have been able to practice quilting on my home machine.

This quilt is made from two inch squares that were donated to our quilt group. I took about half of these squares and put them into the 12 patches. The rest of the quilt just kinda came together in my head. I am giving this quilt away to our pregnancy care center. they came and asked our group if we would make lap quilts for the young mothers who are electing to give their baby's up for adoption. Once they give birth, they are given a comfort quilt to take home with them. This quilt is machine pieced and machine quilted.

quilts for the Pregnancy Care Center

Here are a few of the quilts we are making for the Pregnancy Care Center in our town.  Each one of these lap quilts, will be given to a young mother who has elected to give their baby up at birth. They are comfort quilts.
