here are blocks 1,2,and 3 of 365

Hello everyone,
welcome to 2016. I do not make new year resolutions, but I am starting a new project. I have decided to to do the 365 block challenge. I will post my pics here and in other social media places as well.
I am making mine out of all my scraps. I spent my time off at Thanksgiving going through all my scrap totes. I ironed each piece, folded them so they lay flat, and organized them back in the bins by color. Then I marked on each bin what colors were place in them.  I emptied three bins by doing this.

They are all organized now and much easier to deal with.  For those of you who know me, saving and using scraps is a new thing for me.  I am not a scrappy person at all. My on line quilt friends that I go to retreats with are trying to get me to think and do things outside the box. (comfort zone)

Sewing room Phase 2.

I  grew very weary of not being in the sewing room, and mom needed her storage shed back. Sooo..... I moved in without the walls being finished. It is so nice to be able to sew again and just leave everything out.  Thought I would share some photos with you. Please look beyond or ignore the unfinished walls The room measures  11.5 X 10.5 so it is small.
this is the fat quarter wall or walls.  I have a built in cutting table. It is so nice.
I used two radius book shelves for the corner shelving.
The brown shelves are also corner radius shelves. I group them together with three of them horizontal to hold books and patterns. the other two I hung vertically to create shelving. All three tables are Life time tables.
The ironing board hangs behind the door out of the way and out of site. When I am sewing, I set it up in the hallway outside the sewing room.  Grandmas treadle sewing machine fits nicely between my two stacks of cubical shelving.
For this, I bought cube moduals. the cubes are 13X13, and I got them from Wayfair. There are 14 cubs in two stacks.  I bought laminated shelving to go between the two stack. This created a space for my tubs  (I store all my UFO's ,two inch strips, charm packs, and ten inch squares in them), and my TV monitor.

There is one extra cube next to the monitor that houses all my spool thread for my serger.
There are 21 more 13X13 cubicles. on this wall from floor to ceiling. This left a 12 inch gap. To utilize this space, I  put a close rod on top of the cubes, and hung my quilt tops up on hangers. Beneath that and on the opposite wall , I stacked my pattern boxes.

Below are three panoramic pics of the whole room.

What a Year

It has now been a year sense Wonder bread closed it's doors, And once again we have prevailed.
DH was out of work for 3 months, before taking a position with Brink's security. He is doing OTR for them and is gone most of the time. We are hoping to find something else. so he can be home every night.
This is really all leading up to having something to do with quilting. I promise.
As many of you may remember we were smack dab in the middle of remodeling my sewing room last year when this all happened with wonder Bread.
Needless to say, the remodel was put and hold and still remains as such.  The sheet rock is all up, but it needs to be mudded. We are not very good at this and the intent was to hire someone to finish that part.
To make matters worse, My Mother has asked that I please get my sewing things out of her storage shed, because she needs the room. A fair request by the way. She has let me use it without any charge.
Sooo.... I am moving things into the sewing room without the wall being finished.
It is going together great. Just ignore the unfinished walls as I post my progress.  I will show the before pics and the Now pics for each area as I complete it over the next few months.
I have put up the cutting area. and the Fat quarter wall.

Before:

Remodel:

Now:

Later today or tomorrow, FED EX will be delivering two cup modules that will go where you see the laundry basket.
I will post when they get here, and I get the fabric in them.
I am getting excited,  I am set up enough that today, I will sew on the Bonnie Hunt Mystery.
Have a wonder First day of the Year everyone.
